Ares Capital Corporation (NASDAQ: ARCC) is a leading specialty

and underserved financing needs of private middle-market companies
across diverse industries. We invest primarily in first and second
lien loans (including unitranche loans) and subordinated debt, which
in some cases includes an equity component like warrants. To a lesser

As of September 30, 2022, our portfolio had a fair value of
approximately $21.3 billion and consisted of 458 portfolio
companies backed by 224 different private equity sponsors.

("BDC") under the Investment Company Act of 1940 and the rules and
regulations promulgated thereunder and
